I study why education policies often work differently in practice than on paper.
I am Abhinav Ghosh, a Ph.D. candidate in Education at Harvard University.

My research examines how everyday decisions, actions, and interactions shape what education reforms actually achieve in schools and government systems. Much of my work is based in India and focuses on policy implementation by bureaucrats, to explain why well-intended reforms often fall short of their goals.

I hold an M.A. in Education from Harvard University, an M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a B.E. from the University of Delhi. Prior to my graduate studies, I worked as a school teacher in India.
